The important thing in this drama is the process by which this couple and Celia choose heir way and what it means. 3. Now he thinks that he is no longer a human, but his being has only changed to face an objective situation, and thus he thinks thinks that the chance he can grasp such a being is coming. 4. In this way, Eliot makes all the humans choose their own suitable way according to their own ability. He says there are two ways of relief for rescue from the loneliness and consciousness of the sins of humans. 5. Henry is present at Edward’s cocktail party ; where Edward, having lost his wife, wants to drink wine and sing a song, and in doing - this he displays a very funny behavior. But, Henry will lead Edward and Lavinia to their revival. 6. Eliot shows mainly the comic aspects of ordinary home life ; but the only thing that the writer intentionally conveys to the morderns ; is that the devotion to a more signficant religious life forms a contrast with such a life. 7. Through this drama, Eliot not only shows the interesting aspects of life to the moderns, but communicates a religious idea from modern religious life to today’s spectators.
